Mayoral Candidates
Where do the Mayoral Candidates stand on the issues?

TCAT has sent the following survey to Mayoral Candidates. TCAT Mayoral Candidate survey

It is important to know if the candidate for Mayor of Toronto supports active transportation so that you can to make an informed choice when you vote in the 2006 Toronto municipal election.

TCAT has conducted an Active Transportation survey asking the candidates for  for Mayor 19 key questions on concrete and practical steps they can take to improve Active Transportation in Toronto.

Below are links to survey results that show what the candidates in each ward think about Active Transportation and whether or not they will support pedestrian and cycling programs and infrastructure.

You can see the candidate surveys at the following links.

If you talk with a candidate or attend an all-candidates meeting be sure to ask if they have completed the TCAT survey and ask how they will support Active Transportation if they are elected.   If they haven’t completed the survey encourage them to do so.

We have made every effort to contact all candidates by gathering contact info from publicly available sources.  Thanks  to Dave Meslin of whorunsthistown.to for assistance in this endeavour.   In spite of this there  are still some candidates for whom we don’t have contact info and were unable to contact, those are indicated on the site.   If you are a candidate who has not received a survey please contact us at info@torontocat.ca.  If you are a voter and you have contact data for a candidate that we have not sent a survey to please send it to us as well.  The TCAT survey results are hosted by BikeToronto.ca.
