TCAT Events

The Toronto Centre for Active Transportation regularly organizes and participates in events designed to bring multiple stakeholders together to meet and learn about new developments in the field of active transportation.

  • Nancy Smith Lea and Dr. Paul Hess will be presenting their research paper Identifying and Overcoming Barriers to the Implementation of Active Transportation Policies at the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Conference on September 30, 2014 in Montreal.
  • Join TCAT's Community Mapping Team! As a part of the Active Neighbourhoods project in Thorncliffe/ Flemingdon, TCAT is collecting field data towards a 'Neighbourhood Portrait'. This will help us to identify the character of the neighbourhood and move forward with the community to brainstorm incremental strategies for active streets and public spaces. We are looking for volunteers to help out with a few days of data collection in the field. This is a great way to learn about the community and learn new mapping skills. The days we will be collecting data are as follows: Tuesday July 15th; Tuesday July 22nd; Friday July 25th; Saturday July 26th; Wednesday July 30th. If you are interesting in coming out to help for one or more of these days please contact cmartin@tcat.ca. See attached flyer.
