The Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal has an exhibit on until next April celebrating urban activism from around the world. Take the Tooker's Mobile Bike Lane is displayed as is Toronto's Urban Repair Squad's bike lane stencil.

Tales of a Yellow Bike: Dec 13

The Community Bicycle Network is screening "Tales of a Yellow Bike" --
the movie about CBN's BikeShare program and about one yellow bike as it
travels the world.

Ontario Cycle Tourism Forum 2009 - January 23, 2009

Places to Grow Summit

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is currently implementing its
award winning Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. At the
Places to Grow Summit held in Vaughan last week, successful "smart
growth" projects from local municipalities and around the world were
showcased. It's an exciting time in Ontario as municipalities
everywhere are working hard to achieve better transit-oriented, mixed
use neighbourhoods built to scale for active transportation so that
cyclists and pedestrians feel accommodated and expected. More info

Public Bikes in Toronto - Bixi demo event, October 24

Following-up on our successful event in September, Bikes as a Public Good: What is the future of public bikes in Toronto?, Torontonians will get a real live feel for what public bikes might look like on our city streets. The recently launched Bixi system in Montreal will be demonstrating their platform station and specially designed bikes this Friday.

Transportation Futures - Upcoming road pricing conference, November 13

One thing missing from the Metrolinx RTP, and more specifically the
accompanying Investment Strategy, is the discussion of implementing
road pricing. It seems as if this was too big a political pill to
swallow at this point in time. While TCAT is disappointed to hear this
news, we're inspired that the discussion is still going on. Please see
the notice below about an upcoming road pricing conference.

Bike Summit 2008 Podcast - Koy Thomson and Peter Lagerwey

This past June, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), in partnership with TCAT, hosted a webinar called Highlights from Bike Summit 2008: Leading Examples from London, England and Seattle, Washington.
